InfoPath Dev

Hey guys,

Thanks in advance but I am really stumped with this odd issue that I have been having. I have had Infopath installed for quite sometime now but when I go to use a template or preview a form that I have created I keep getting a message "The selected form does not match the current form template you can select a different data file or you can preview a blank form...." nfoPath cannot create a new, blank form.
"The form template is not valid.
InfoPath cannot open the selected form. There was an error while loading the XML Schema for the form.
Access is denied."

I have tried to reinstall and repair the installation entirely without any luck. Has anyone had a problem like this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum!
You are this error possibly because your template.xml file does not match your form schema. Look at your template.xml file and compare it with your schema and checout if you are missing anything in it.

Hi Agni,

I am fairly new to the infopath dev world. My thought is that reinstalling the product would replace the old template.xml and the old schema files with the new installation? Where do I find these files and what do I compare them to once I find them? Can anyone send me what the file is suppose to look like then I can just overwrite it and see if it works? I am just a little angry that when I reinstall the entire product the solution is still not fixed??

Are you able to preview the form before publishing it. In all possibility there might be an error in the template.xml that you are publishing.

To view the files, Open the form in Design mode, go to File->Extract Form files, and extract them into a local folder. Now open both the schema.xsd file and template.xml, check whether the template.xml file is as per the schema defination.
