InfoPath Dev

I need to create about 10 InfoPath forms. All the forms will be similiar in that they will have 75-150 questions with radio buttons controls. Is there a way I can make a custom radio button control, and specify no labels at least? It would be even better if I could specify that the control had 3 buttons, the value of the buttons, and the data type. Then I could just drop them on the page and give the control a name. I guess all the validation and rules get stripped out when it is imported as custom control. Bummer! Oh well, it still will save me lots of time this summer.

 the rules and validations dont get stripped, when you import the control. you might be doing something differently, can you attach the template part and the template on which the validations and rules seem to get stripped  out

I tried that, but the .xtp file type is not allowed. Just put it in a zip file.

I tried to replicate the scenario, it seems to be working fine on my machines, can you attach the template in which you have used this custom control, and the validation/rules seem to be not working.

 

Yes, here is a sample of what I am working on. It is just a part of the form, not the whole thing.

 i cant see anywhere the template part being used, can u attach a template in which you have used the template part and were not able to make it work.

I tried it again on my own computer and it seems to be working now! Thanks!

In the Data Source the radio button controls from the template part are referenced as myFields_1, myFields_2, etc instead of the name that I gave them. This will be a nightmare later as the radio buttons and textbox fields will need to be referenced together.

I believe I have to change something with the binding. I am searching for the answer, and will post the solution back to this thread if I get it!
