InfoPath Dev

My desktop was recently replaced with a Fujitsu lap top.

In the "folder options", "file types" for "infopa", the box for "confirm open after download" is not checked.

When attemping to open an XML document, it now asks me "Do you want to open or save this file?". When I was using my desktop I was never asked this question. Can you tell me what I need to change so that I do not get asked this question again and have the document open up directly?

Sounds more like what has happened is that the .xml file is not associated with the InfoPath application anymore.

Does the InfoPath application icon appear for that file, or a more generic icon?

It is the correct icon. We are having this same problem on two lap tops. Both are Fujitsu.
