    Problem reading form fields

    Hi There,

I have a sharepoint forms library with several promoted fields, one of which being a date field. When I submit the form the dateField and date is clearley visible insode the forms library. I have 3 questions

If I want to read the dateField programmatically with say a console app. Can I use the SPListItem object?

If not, is it the same reason you can't wrtie to the form using the SPListItem object?

If I am right could some therefore add some code for getting the form open from the forms library from a console app in c#?

    Thanks

you can read the promoted properties of the form from the document library, using SPListItem object, like we regularly read from normal lists and doc libraries, you can write back to the promoted fields and that will reflect back inside the form

while publishing the form using the wizard, just make sure at the property promotion screen you have checked the (Allow users to edit data in this field by using a datasheet or properties page) check box, that can be accessed by double clicking the fields on the property promotion screen of the wizard
