    Anyone know how to "average" the data in a repeating section, after it has been filtered?

     I've got a repeating section that is filtered by date (using "from" and "to" date elements) -  I'm trying to average (in an expression box)  the amount of emails per month after I've filtered down to month at a time, but the average just gives me the average total record of everything, and not the records that i've filtered on-

     in the repeating section, "date sent" is the date field that records the date on the individual records..    to filter on this information, I've added the two elements "startDate" and "endDate"

    In the expression box I have the following

    avg(dfs:dataFields/d:Campaigns/@Email_attempts[msxsl:string-compare(dfs:dataFields/d:Campaigns/@Date_Sent, ../../../my:startDate) >= 0 and msxsl:string-compare(dfs:dataFields/d:Campaigns/@Date_Sent, ../../../my:endDate) <= 0])

    Any help is appreciated!
