InfoPath Dev

I changed the data type of several fields on 2007 InfoPath Consolidated Info form from Text to Number - Whole Number (Integer) in the Data Source.

These changes are not migrating to the designated SharePoint document library.
 
I have already done several things to try to resolve this:

    Deleted the source data fields - on the InfoPath form. Republished the form via the Publishing wizard
    Re-added the source data fields - on the InfoPath form.
    Relinked the data source fields to data-entry fields on the Infopath form Republished the form.
    Republished the form via the Publishing wizard. Re-added the fields to display as columns via the Publishing wizard.

The fields are still being displayed as text rather than Whole Number Integer. The InfoPath form is displaying the fields correctly as Whole Number Integer - (displaying commas -eg 1,000,0000

Did you try to re-link the documents in SharePoint?  I think that might fix the issue.

 I tried to relink the documents.  I was told by a member of our Infopath team that I need to create a new document library in order to fix the data type issue with the columns.  In addition I need to create the form using the "Site Content Type (advanced) option rather than the "Document Library" in the InfoPath publishing wizard. 

The "Document Library" option does not allow the ability to modify the Sharepoint document library columns.  The Site Content Type option will allow the modification of columns so I can change the data-type.

Unless there is a setting that can be changed using the Document Library option - it looks like I have to rebuild a new document library to solve this issue.  This is not very user friendly!
