InfoPath 2010 Tab Order for Input

This should be a simple question - how do I configure Tab Stops on an InfoPath form?  I want the user to type in field1 then be able to TAB to field2.  Currently the tab defaults to the TAB for the form.

     Thanks.

    Hi,

In the properties dialog box for the control (text field, dropdown, etc) there is an Advanced tab.  In that tab you can control the tab order

Sorry for the late reply back - did not realize anyone had responded.

I have used this particular configuration to no avail.  I set Tab Order and I type in informaton for the Title then TAB and it goes to the window tab - I hit 4-5 more times and it will cycle through the toolbar buttons.

I attached the form - any ideas?

    Hi Eric,

Looks like that form is created off a SharePoint list, right?  The schema is locked.  I tried to change the tab order myself in the form and it doesn't work as I would expect.  One of the fields was -1 for tab order.  I tried to order them all as they should and it wouldn't work.

Did you move the order around from the order that they are by default in the SharePoint list?  I wonder if that has anything to do with it?  Seems like something about this be bound to a SharePoint list might be causing the issue.

It is SharePoint List - I selected Edit Form which brings up InfoPath 2010.

I then assigned tab order there.

Anything I can do to enable you to read file?

I just created my own simple SharePoint list in ShP 2010 and then edited in InfoPath (which is what I assume you were doing).  The tab order for all fields was 0.  I could move fields around and the tab order did not get messed up.  Perhaps change all yours back to 0 and let InfoPath manage it??

well - no love here.  I have changed all to 0 with no luck.  How can I move the field order in InfoPath?  In the basic view they are stacked from Top to Bottom.  Can I move these around to see if it simulates tab order?

Strangest thing is that InfoPath Preview works fine on tab order.  When I get to sharePoint it doesn't work like clockwork.

Oddly for me the preview in InfoPath does not work correctly on your form.

You might want to start over and see if this is a corrupted list?

Same results for my list to so starting over does not seem like a viable option. I think it has something to do with Rich Text Boxes
