    HELP ME PLEASE

I am hoping someone out there can help me.

I am trying to write a infopath document with two views.  I would like the first view to be a "Data" view which will hold all of the data.  The second view would be a "Email" view which would take selected pieces of data from the "Data" view.  I would like to only have to update the "Data" view and have that automatically populate in the "Email" view.  Does anyone know if that is possible?

Please let me know if I am not making this clear.

    Thanks in advance

    Katy

Hi Katy, welcome to the InfoPath Dev Forums.

Yes what you want to do is totally possible with InfoPath.

Just design your data view first, then when you are all done you design the email view (you could copy the entire "date view" over to the email view to speed things up). For the email view you probably want to use expression boxes for the fields rather than a text field, dropdown, multi select etc.

In your rules to submit the form via email add a rule to switch to the email view before the email fires.

    Hope that makes sense

    Ted
