    template parts

when creating template parts, how can i make these available to all users ?

i want to create some template parts that pull in data and would be available for all our infopath users to access when building forms... however they just seem to be available/viewable by the person who created them by default....

i can obviously send the files to users but hoped there might be a way to access them from a shared area.

    thanks

    Hi again,

Just save the XTP to a place where people can access them and make sure they are defined with UDCs (universal data connections) to make it easy to change secondary data sources that they access.  In the InfoPath Designer, you can browse to the XTP location when you select add a custom control.

Should be a piece of cake.

    Enjoy the frosting,

    Hi Patrick,

Thank you for your seminar and training at AUSPC last week..

I'm just in the process of setting up template parts for my forms and I thought you mentioned these could be stored in a sharepoint library but whilst I've saved them in a libarary, I don't know the process to access the library and add the parts as custom controls. Or, do they need to be simply saved in a shared location on the network drive?

     Can you help??

    Thanks!

    Jami
