remove integer from concat statement (newbie)

Can someone please tell me how to use the string and substring fuctions to remove an integer from a concat statement.? I'm befuddled.

Field 5 is where I'm sending a rule from checkboxes, that if checked (or yes) read the text box and add an integer to it, then a tilde " concat(field5, field4, "`")"

Where I'm having difficulty is if my check box is later checked as no, how to remove the interger value.

I know this is basic stuff, but cant get it to behave.

Just add conditions to your rules so that it uses one formula when the value of the checkbox is yes, and another formula when it's no.

    thanks for the quick reply,

If my concat statement grows to the point it reads like (32~25~46~59) and later the no switch is set(tied to 25), then i need to remove (25) from the statement. Just not having any luck doing so.

The concat is creating a log of the checkbox for export if that makes sense.

Would it be an option to rebuild that list each time a checkbox i checked or unchecked?  You can do this with a double eval statement:

Looks a bit daunting, but I can certainly give it a try. Ideally if I could some how poll the form to see what checkboxes were selected prior to submit or part of the submit process I would be good with that. Just have not found the way to do this.

    thanks

Can you help me with the syntax of how to apply the double eval as it applies to my previous example??
