Get data from repeating section field into another field

     Hi,

I have created a form (attached) to allow users to submit business cases.

Section 3.3 is a repeating section which holds costs data. Users can insert a new section to allow them to enter costs for a number of different possible options.

Is it possible to get the total cost for an option (field235) and insert it into the appropriate field in section 3.6 Value for money appraisal?

    use

    sum(../my:group20/my:group21/my:field235)

formula to calculate the sum of the fields.

    Hi,

I may be misunderstanding you. But, I don't need a total of the values that will be entered into field235.

For each option (i.e. a new section in the repeating section), I need to take the total (field235) and insert it into the corresponding row in the table in Section 3.6.

E.g. the total cost for option 1 (from Section 3.3) will go into field201.

the total cost for option 2 (from Section 3.3) will go into field205.

    and so on.

     Hi,

would you be able to explain what you did? As I couldn't see what it was doing (it didn't seem to bring the costs from 3.3 to 3.6).

Thanks for your help so far.

Edit: it could be my fault, when I open the file, it's showing the location as the location of the original file. So I think it may be opening the old one.
