Hi. I have defined an array in C# - InforPath 2007

public m_array as string()

how do i assign a value into it?

If I try to do it like this

m_array(0) = "smth"

i get an error saying

Object reference not set to an instance of an object. How do i assign a value into an array? Thank you!

string []str = new string{"smth","value2","value3"};

 Hi. thank you for your answer. What I want to do is to use a FOR instruction and do something like

For i = 1 to 2

str(i) = myvalue

 end for

Remember, I am using Microsoft visula studio tools for applications C# from InfoPath 2007. I want to have in a vector more values and then I will extract them and save them in the database. So how do i declare it in the right way?

 Hi. Thank you. Yes, its like this, but when defining the array i have to do it like this:

Public m_arrayMessages(2) As String

Do not ask me why, i guess that this is the way it is in Visual Studio Tools for Applications.

 However its strange that i cannot make it dynamic, to increment by itself each time i add a new value. If there is a way I would appreciate a sugestion. Thank you!

you can use arraylists
