    Infopath forms in StandAlone Application

     Hi,

We want to use Infopath forms in stand alone application. How can we use Infopath forms in standalone application?

    Regards,

    Hi Maulin,

What exactly do you mean by "standalone" application?

Here is an MSDN article that might be what you are looking for: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb251028.aspx and then http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms406041.aspx

However this usage of InfoPath does not eliminate the license requirement on the client machine - each user still needs InfoPath installed on their machine in order to use the application you create to use InfoPath

    Hope that helps

    Ted

Re: Infopath forms in StandAlone Application

    Hi Ted,

    Thanks for reply.

We want standalone java swing application (Not web based) which can be deployed user machine. We dont want Infopath to be installed on users machine. We want Standalone application to make call to our J2EE server for infopath related stuff. Standalone application will get required data from Server to display infopath form locally.

As per my understanding infopath form generates HTML which can be displayed in web browser. Is it possible to redner infopath forms in java standalone application(i.e. not in web browser)? Is there any SDK/APi available for that?
