    Re Submitting of form to a sub folder of form library is failing

     Hi All,

    I am not able to re-submit the form to a sub folder. Even though I enabled the Allow Overwrite property for the submit data connection.

    I am creating folders dynamically in the managed code to ensure that no folder has more than 2000 items due to performance restrictions and then submit the form to the folder. But when I re submit the form it is failing.

    Thanks in Advance

    can you paste your submit code, it seems there is something wrong with that. Also cna you let us know what error you get when you try to submit the form.

     Hi Qazi Anis,

    Here is my submit code,

    XPathNavigator mainds = this.MainDataSource.CreateNavigator();
     FileSubmitConnection dc = (FileSubmitConnection)DataConnections["Main submit"];

    dc.FolderUrl = mainds.SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:Header_Section/my:FCR_fldrUrl", NamespaceManager).Value;

    dc.Execute();

    During the first submit, i am computing the folder url and storing in a field of the form itself. So during the second submit i am getting that and assigning it. But the execute fails with the error  "A value in the form may be used to specify the file name. If you know the value in the form that specifies the file name, revise it and try again. Otherwise, contact the author of the form template"

    your this code seems to be good, just verify that the field path is valid, and use this.NamespaceManager instead of NamespaceManager.

    Also you can open the form in notepad and check whether FCR_fldrURl contains a valid location and file name.

     The folder url is valid, I am able to open the folder with that url in the browser. I am sure that it is unable to overwrite the existing form there.  Have u faced any situation like this?
