Hi,
I'm trying to auto-populate a date field in an approval request form. After being routed for various preliminary manager approvals, these requests get submitted to a Committee that meets every other Thursday. The meeting series began on 3/4/2010. We want the form to tell the user the meeting date on which his particular submission will be reviewed based on the submission deadline for getting items on the meeting agendas.
The deadline to submit a request to the Committee so
it can be put on the next meeting agenda is 6 days prior to a meeting, i.e., the
Wednesday of the week preceding the meeting.
A request will be deemed to be "submitted" to the Committee upon the date that the last manager approves the request. So the "Manager2 Approval Date" field will become the "Committee Submission Date" field, and the "Committee Meeting Date" field could be calculated off of the Submission Date field.
I have no idea where to start with this one. Any ideas? Also if anyone knows of a good resource for learning how to use formulas from the ground up please let me know. I've read several InfoPath books, articles, etc. but haven't come across any that really go into much detail on this or provide much in the way of sample formulas.
