Hello, I just installed the trail version and I'm going through the "Getting Started" FAQ. I am trying to connect to a SharePoint document libarary but every time I put the sample value in for the tns:listUrl parameter, I get the following error after clicking "Next":

 The SOAP response indicates that an error occurred on the server:

System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.ApplicationException: Access denied

I've tried using forms libraries on both NTLM and Kerberos-authenticated Sharepoint portal sites, host-header SharePoint sites (http://portal.akaiwdemo.com/BusinessCards), localserver sites (http://iwmoss2007ee:8085:BusinessCards), etc. Note that I have no problems coneccting to databases as in the first three tasks in the "Getting Started" guide. Can someone assist me with this issue? I just need to successfully connect to and pull data from a SharePoint library or list. Thanks in advance.

What was used to install DBXL? (i.e. if you were to open DAT or navigate to the default page on IE, what URL is being used?) You can also check this in web.config.

I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean what account was used to install DBXL? 

 The URL for the installation was QDABRA software was http://qwssp.akaiwdemo.com/qwssp/

Yes, that was exactly my question. So now please check the web.config file located in the Qdabrawebservice folder. In it, search for http. Please check whether web.config is set to use http://qwssp.akaiwdemo.com/ or http://iwmoss2007ee:8085:BusinessCards.

In the web.config file there are four results for search string "http":

Logon locally on the server, launch IE and navigate to http://qwssp.akaiwdemo.com/qWSSP/DbxlAdmin.asmx

Does the page display properly?

And if you ping qwssp.akaiwdemo.com, does the IP address resolve as the local machine IP address or is it mapped through a firewall?

Yes on both counts. It renders the page properly and the IP address resolves to the local machine.
