I have two repeating groups:
Group1
Group2

I have two fields outside of that to count those:
NumberGroup1 (datatype: Text)
NumberGroup2 (datatype: Text)

I want to post those to a column in SharePoint in the form library. I have a rule on submit with these actions:
Set a field's value:
Field: NumberGroup1
Value: count(Group1) + 1

Set a field's value:
Field: NumberGroup2
Value: count(Group2) + 2

Submit using a data connection: Main submit


When I publish the form to the form library, I add NumberGroup1 and NumberGroup2 as columns in the library. When I fill out a form, it doesn't put any content in these columns. I've also tried using the data type for NumberGroup1 and NumberGroup2 integer, but the same thing happens - no data is added to the column.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? I did this in the past but I cannot see any difference between the two forms.

Are you sure you are getting a value in NumberGroup1 and NumberGroup2? I'd check that first, if you haven't already.

Make sure You have selected "Update this value when the result of the formula is recalculated" check box for both these fields.
