Linking SQL Server to Access DB and Query SQL server in InfoPath

    Someone please help!!!

I have an access db and i linked a sql server database to it. On my infopath form I want to run a query that only gets information from the sql server. Once the user fills out the rest of the form I want to submit to a table in the access db with the infomation from the  sql server and the form fields.

The key: The user will enter in a supplier number and click a button to query the SQL server to find the supplier number on the sql server and display other fields off the sql server.

I have the main connection to my access db and I have a secondary connection to the sql server setup as recieve only.

So you need your SQL connection to only return the data for the specified supplier number? Or can you return all the data from the SQL table and use XPath filtering to get the correct value to populate the different fields?

If you need a filtered query, our web services do that. Or you can write code. If you can return all your SQL data to the form, then you could base rules off the field where they enter the supplier number that then populates the main data source form fields with values from the SQL data source where the supplier Id = the supplier Id typed in by the user.
