Error Message: Call was rejected by callee

We have had forms implimented in our department for four months or so.  We have a new error message that has popped up; I've only seen it once, but I'm not sure how to fix it.  The message that comes up is "InfoPath cannot submit the form. Call was rejected by callee."  We are using an email submission format.  We tried republishing and clearing out the old forms on the specific machine.  The machine has also been restarted, the old Microsoft standby.

Has anyone encountered this?  Any ideas on how to fix it?

    Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the InfoPath Dev forums!

So you can't repro this again, is that right?

Was this an InfoPath error message or an Outlook message?  It might be helpful if you have it again to post a screenshot of the actual error message.  Also, if there is it is an InfoPath error message and there is a "Show Details" of the message the full text of the error might help out, sometimes the error title in the popup box isn't as helpful as it could be

    Thanks Ted!

It was in Infopath, not Outlook.  It said "Some rules were not applied," and "Call was rejected by callee" is what the "Show Details" listed.  I can't do a screenshot; it seems to have resolved itself between yesterday and today (for good or bad) and we can't duplicate it today (it repeated yesterday a few times on one machine).

Re: Error Message: Call was rejected by callee

I seem to be having the same issue.  I could send a screen shot via email.  It seems to be when a custom application within infopath tries to programatically call another infopath window.  My concern is that we have been securing our networks / computers per FDCC requirements, and that a policy may be blocking this.    My suspicions are "Programatic access", "Trust Center", or "Macro Security".

On Closer inspection, The link from within info path is trying to open outlook.  If outlook is open, this works.  If Oulook is not open, it errors out. with the "Call was rejected by Callee"

    Hi All,

Am facing this same problem where InfoPath is generating this message "Some rules were not applied. InfoPath cannot submit the form. Call was rejected by callee".

    Can someone please help?

We have 2 different machine build here and my guess is that this is being faced on the Citrix enabled build (since I have the other build and can't reproduce the error on my machine). I also have the screenshot should you need that - will email if required

    Thanks.

    Regards,

I see no one ever posted a solution but I was able to confirm that the above is true. Outlook is open and no problems.  If Outlook is not open, it throws the error.

Did anyone find out what policy setting needs to be changed?

    Thank you for your Help.
