    Property Promotion

I have a document library that uses a Administrator Approved infopath template. It has several columns that were originally published. These are all working correctly.

I'm trying to add 2 more columns from this form into the document library. This is what I have tried so far with out success.

    1) From Root Site Column Gallery, Created 2 columns
    2) From InfoPath form, through publishing wizard, I selected the fields I wanted from the form and associated them to the 2 new columns I created.
    3) Uploaded template from Central Admin

This did not work for this form, but this same process (minus the Central Admin step) worked for non-Administrator Approved forms.

    Any Ideas?

Thanks. That gets the 2 new columns to show, but nothing is populated in the columns. When a new form gets submitted, the 2 new columns get populated. There are about 5000 documents already in this document library and all those are still blank.

    Any more ideas?

you will need to relink the documents in the document library to the new template. to relink the documents.

    -) go to document library

-) settings -> form library settings

-) relink documents to this library

and select the documents to be relinked

Is there a way to do it to all the documents? There is no "Select All" option. Don't want to spend all day clicking each check box one by one.

there is an easier way but i wont recommend using that, because that changes the created/by and modified/by ... any wasy the method is

-) go to your document library

-) actions -> open with windows explorer

-) copy the forms to your local system

-) delete the forms form the original folder

-) paste the forms back and close the window

-) refresh your page and the new property fields will contain data

before going through these steps, do take the necessary backup ..

Sorry for the delay, but after a few days, all the forms automatically populated the new columns. Thank you for your help!
