Text summary of data upon Submit

I have a very basic form, created in Infopath 2007, which submits to an Access database.  What I'm hoping to accomplish is when the the data is submitted to the database, to have a pop-up with a text "summary" of the data just entered that can be copied and pasted to another application.  Assuming this is possible, I'm guessing it will need to be done with code.  Is this a possibility and, if so, can someone point me in the right direction to get started?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    Hello Crimson621,

... and welcome to our forum!

In this case I would suggest to create a second view with an expression box control. Then you can concatenate all the desired fields in one expression box. If you switch your view after you have submitted your data you can copy and paste the expression field wherever you want.

    Regards,

Karsten, thank you for your reply and suggestion.  After experimenting with alternate views and an expression box, this is even better than what I was originally looking to do.  I am, however, having one major problem -- probably something so dumb, I'll feel like a dope for not figuring it out myself.

I can copy and paste the data from the form when I'm in design view, but once I'm in preview or the form is published, nothing on the form can be selected -- not with the mouse or CNTRL-A.  Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be changed to allow the form to be copied?

An unfortunate aspect of expression boxes is that they do not allow their text to be selected or copied.  If you want to allow users to select and copy a chunk of uneditable text, I think you'll need to use a read-only textbox.

If you're looking for a way to select a whole bunch of controls, or text built into the form, and copy them to the clipboard, I don't think there's a way to accomplish this.
