Have this browser enabled Infopath form that resides in a MOSS document library. The doc library is configured to display the form in a web browser only. Everything works fine. I set up a sequential workflow on the doc lib so when a new form is saved, a workflow is initiated. That all works fine and dandy. I get the email indicating a task has been initiated and assigned to me.
In the email there's a hyperlink to "Review" the task. That hyperlink takes me to the Sharepoint server "Tasks" list. In the List is my task to "approve" the item. In the task there's a link that says.. "This workflow task applies to " < the URL of the Infopath form >. Which is fine. So thinking I can now view the form, I click on the link. However, the link references the XML file only. So the browser is trying to open the XML file, NOT calling the Sharepoint's Form Services to open the form in the browser.
Soooo....Infopath client services gets launched trying to open the form. Which is what I don't want. For heaven sakes... what in tar nation were those developers at Microsoft thinking !!? Is this just yet another bone headed oversight on thier part? Or am I doing something wrong. Or is there a work around for this?
