Auto select checkbox in Edit in Browser based on data in form

I have a form uses mulitple SP lists. The form is for purchasing computers. If a users selects a "laptop", a list of options will be displayed to the the users. The list of options is a SP List.  The options have checkboxes associated with each option. If a user selects an option, the options value (mouse, keyboard, etc) will be automatically be added to an "option text field" that is hidden in the form and can be submitted to a SP List.  This all works great.

However, if the users wants to "Edit in Browser" to make a change to the record. How can I have the checkboxes be checked from the options that were selected when submitting the form. Keep in mind I am storing the selected options in a hidden field of "option text field"

How can I check the value of a field when a form is run in "Edit in Browser" mode?

I have tried Rules and Code Behind, but i cannot figure out how to do this...

On load of the form in "Edit in Browser", If "option text field" contains "mouse" then select checkbox

    Thanks,

    ~tjk~

Clicking "Edit in Browser" doesn't change the behavior of the form.  You should be able to check values just like you would in any form at any time.  Use the Form Load rules to check field values and set other field values accordingly.  Did the example you give not work?  I would not use "contains," but rather "is equal to," but that isn't likely to be your problem.  Make sure that the syntax is 100% exact when using conditional statements.
