InfoPath Noob! Creating form to submit to sharepoint...

Hello! This is my first post! I have read many articles on your site thus far and have been trying to learn on my own, but I think I need a little help. I am new to InfoPath. First time user.

    Ok I created a form...

    Title
    Body
    Date

Submit and Cancel buttons. Submit to sharepoint library list and cancel close form.

My question is I can make a close form button. But I cannot seem to get my submit button to function how I want... ;( It submits the form as a form that is edited but still open edit?? I tried making a view (User View) but it won't save as the USER view I want??? I am so confused.

Really new with InfoPath but a fast learner. I have set my rules and conditions for my submit but and also setup validation for the date and title.

I am just having an issue getting it to submit the updated form as a read only using my "User" view where I have used expression boxes that reference back to the "Create" view.

Ultimately I am trying to make it submit the form. A user can read it and at the bottom it has a new button saying I read your article. They click it and it submits the form+AccountName back to a sharepoint list. Like a tracking of who and who has not read my articles.

    1. Don't use expression boxes on the other view.  Just copy your controls from View 1 to View 2 AS-IS with no changes.
    2. Go to the view settings of View 2 and set the whole thing to read-only.
    3. Change your submit button to follow my blog here: InfoPath – Auto-Generating Filenames
    4. Go to Tools > Form Options > Open & Save > Rules.  Here, set a rule that switches to View 2 if strFilename from step 3 is NOT blank.  This basically will make your form always show the User View as soon as the form is submitted.  If you want your original user to be able to still edit it, then add another conditional statement saying "If userName() is not equal to Submitter" where Submitter is a hidden field in your data schema that is set to a default value of userName() so that it stores the username of the submitter and can be used to compare later users with the original submitter.
    5. Add a different button to the User View that performs the action you want for reading the form, but I am not sure how you are writing this data to a list.  Can you explain this idea, because I'm not sure if your idea makes sense the way you explained it.
