InfoPath Dev

I need to create a infopath form in sharepoint whit a SPD Worfflow , but when i try to create the date field i can´t because this field don´t permit to edit, my solution for this issue is copy de date for the sharepoint list to the form , so i change de the date field to a string field in infopath  , but i cannot format the text . The Sharepoint List send to the Infopath form de date + time "00-00-0000 00:00:00" y need to remove the time .

 Please Help me!!...

Date as DataType can't be edited when publishing the form to SharePoint,  therefore your Workflow can not fillin the field.

You can change the field to DateTime in the InfoPath DataSource, this way the WF in SharePoint will be able to fill it in.

When you need the dateonly in InfoPath, format the field in InfoPath and keep the complete DateTime in the XML behing.
