InfoPath Dev

Hi all!

I have a dropdown which I want to fill with data from a sharepoint list, filtered by a selection on the InfoPath 2003 form - and only unique entries displayed.

The datasource looks like this:

RL1        Line         RL2

--------------------------------------

Mike       A             Tom

Mike       B             Chris

Andrea    A             Tom

Mike       A              Irene

I would like to get all RL1 for line A --> Mike and Andrea

Now - filtering on Line only, which is selected in another dropdown works basically - poc. If I select Line A I'm getting for the RL1 selection dropdown:

Mike, Andrea, Mike

Now I found: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/greg/archive/2005/06/08/Display-Only-Unique-Options-in-a-List.aspx. Using that method only is working as well. Applying that filter on RL1 gives me only: Mike, Andrea

The combination is not working. As far as I know preceding returns the first occurence in the document - but it seems it returns the first line. So, if I select Line B, I'm getting nothing, as preceding returns Mike, A and Andrea, A. Interestingly although there is an order in the filter definition in InfoPath, you can move filters up/down the list, but neither defining the one filter before the other nor combining the filters in one using AND is working.

Any ideas on that?

Can you attach your form so we can see what is going wrong? Under the Options tab in your reply, you'll find a spot to attach a file...

 Sure - i stripped it down to only the two fileds needed. You would need two sharepoint lists as datasource. One with only the list of ITLines and a second one with the above mentioned structure - RL1+ITline

 Back from vacation I was curious about all the solutions for my problem :) Unfortunatly there is none... well - is there really no solution for this?
