InfoPath Dev

I'm trying to create a submit button that dynamically creates the name of the file by the input of the name field and the current date.  I've tried several things and usually I end up getting the text version of what I wrote (ie concat(Name, now())   ) Can someone help me? Other times I get NaN depending on what I've tried.  I can get the name to work separately and the time to work separately but I can't seem to figure out how to have the name followed by the date in the new file name.  Using what I tried previously: concat(Name, now()) - can anyone see what I'm doing wrong with it?

in the file name field, click Fx,

then click insert function ->

go to all and select concat,

in the concat arguments

click on double click to insert fields, insert your name field on one and delete other two,

after the comma of first one click insert function and insert now() function

that should work

Thanks that worked - I guess you have to use the function buttons instead of actually typing them? Any thoughts as to why the difference?

 I'm having trouble guessing what would have caused the NaN, but if you type a string into the "Value" field of a "Set a field's value" rule, it will be treated as text and not a function.  If you click the Fx button, you should be able to manually enter the function, but using the buttons and dialogs has a better chance of getting all of the paths, etc. correct without you worrying about those details.
