    how to view xml code??

    hi guys

when trying to submit my form to sql server using web services, i get an error

An unexpected XML node "IPDocument" (in the namespace "http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/dataFormSolution") was found in the "Parameters" element (in the "http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2004/SOAP" namespace) of the SOAP request

that is not a node in my form. where does it come from? also how can i see the xml that is generated by a form so that i can test my endpoint in that way?

    thanks

You could save the form as XML and open it in notepad on your local computer but that assumes Save is not disabled. If you have access to the Designer, you can re-enable Save. Regarding the unexpected XML node. Sounds like you are submitting your form as a string and the Web Service is not parsing it correctly. You'll need to make sure that your Web Service can take a string and if so, debug why it is failing. Qdabra.com's DBXL Web Service will take any XML and map it to SQL. Free download is available and we can help you set it up. It'll save you time, but if you already have a Web service that you want to debug, that could be another option.

thanks for your reply. the problem was that the endpoint was created on a 2008 server, when i tried on a 2005 server it worked.
