Another cascading drop down lists question

Before anyone asked, I have looked at a lot of answers on here and the blog posts, but still cannot get 3 levels of cascading lists to work

this is the xml that  I am using as a datasource.

the first two levels work fine, but no matter what I try I cannot get the third level (subQuestion) to populate at all.

The third level should be bullet point list that is read only, as you get all the sub questions showing. However I can't even get it to show one item. I have tried using the current() function, performing a separate query when the previous list is changed, you name it. nothing seems to work.

    Help please.

It works for me.  It's just that some of your selections don't have a 3rd level, so they show blank in the 3rd dropdown.  I've attached my sample, and it uses the exact XML you gave us.

thanks for your reply. I will take a look at your solution tomorrow at work and let you know.

I know some of the third levels dont have options, but try as I might I could not get any at all to list, even those that definitely should have.

No doubt I will have got some filter wrong somewhere.

that worked, however I think I should have given the structure of the datasource which is probably effecting it , will attach it.

OK i know hte attach option is here somewhere, can't find it, so have a link instead

OK, as usual, as soon as I ask the question, I see the problem. My final filter was comparing the group not the item. Changed it and now it is fine.

Re: Another cascading drop down lists question

I there any way to  have the thrid level list as a bulleted list? I can show it in a list box, but it does not look too nice for printing out. An the third level list should all be visible they are read only.

I can't get a control like that to work, because it doesn't have a data connection.  It's just a repeating field where you add new items manually.  The best I can do is a plain list box that shows them all with no bullets or numbers, but it isn't a dropdown.  If you know how to iterate through the multiple items and make them dynamically show up in the bulleted list, then maybe it could work.
