Reply Contact There are no user roles in browser forms, so you have to create your own mechanism like in my articles: InfoPath - User Roles in Browser-Enabled Forms Using AD Groups InfoPath – User Roles in Browser-Enabled Forms Using Contacts List Once you incorporate a method like this, you can then create your views and use Form Load rules to switch to a specific view based off the person's identity. You get to Form Load rules by going to Tools > Form Options > Open & Save > Rules. Use conditions in your rules to switch views based off the person's identity. Hi,
How can I give different views of an InfoPath browser compatible forms based on user role. i.e., when a person fills out a form, he will get a set of form controls and form approver will get different set of form controls.
Regards,
Manoj
There are no user roles in browser forms, so you have to create your own mechanism like in my articles:
InfoPath - User Roles in Browser-Enabled Forms Using AD Groups
InfoPath – User Roles in Browser-Enabled Forms Using Contacts List
Once you incorporate a method like this, you can then create your views and use Form Load rules to switch to a specific view based off the person's identity. You get to Form Load rules by going to Tools > Form Options > Open & Save > Rules. Use conditions in your rules to switch views based off the person's identity.
