    Default Font

With Infopath the default font is Verdana for forms design. The standard font required at my workplace is Arial for all documents. How can you set the default font to Arial in design mode rather than Verdana, thus eliminating the annoying task of perpetually changing the font type?

You can change the default font for the view in the View Properties dialog box.

In the Views task pane, select your view, and then click Properties.

Hi, I know this post was a very long time ago, but it is exactly what I am finding now, and for the life of me cannot find any straight forward answers anywhere! :( Is there a way to chage the 'Normal' font style in Infopath 2007 from Verdana to Arial. I know that you can chage the fonts in the views, but this doesn't apply to layout tables or repeating tables etc. When I select all and change the font too, it does not change the whole form, there are areas that still default to Verdana so if I type in there, I have to change the font again.

I am not working with the xml etc, but only through InfoPath GUI.

Are there any updates on this at all, or just the basic info of not being able to do it?

a way around is to go into the view properties -> text settings and set the required formatting for each type of controls.

Thanks for the reply, but as I mentioned in my original post, this does not work for all controls (layout tables, repeating tables, sections, etc) so I have to change those all and it defeats the object of the other controls having a default as I still have to go through the process.

    Anyone else know any more?

I am having the same problem.  I can find a way to set the default font for controls but not for text labels on the form.  I would be very interested to find out how to do it.  Currently I have resorted to building the form, them selecting the whole form with Ctrl + A and then setting the font.  In my case I an trying to set the default font to Segoe UI so the form looks like the Windows UI.

Anyone got any ideas on how to change the Normal font style in InfoPath 2010?

    Hi,

Has someone found an answer? Changing the font for the controls using views work only for those control types, but I also want to change the "Normal" style font and have not found a way to do it.

    thanks.

    Diego.

    I found a solution:

-Save your form as source file.

    -Edit your view file

-Change all the Verdana for arial or another font. Save your file

    -Design and resign your form.

    It's work for me.
