Hi Guys, I am having an issue with Infopath 2003 / WSS 2.0. I have about 1000 forms in a forms library, and recently made some changes to the form (removed some form columns from the form, re-published, then added them again, and republished). After these changes, the columns that I removed and re-added are now blank in the forms library view (even though all the data is still in each form). If i open each form, and re-submit, the columns that were blank, get populated again (which means the data is there). However, other than submitting all the forms, I think there should be another (easier) way to "refresh" the columns in the forms library and have the data display again.. Any thoughts or suggestions? A quick way to do so is to open the document library in explorer view, move the forms to some other location and then paste them back, But i am not sure if this feature is available in wss 2.

You need to select “Relink Documents” option to get all your forms data back.

 

I tried with "Relink Forms" but, the screen I see doesn't show any forms to relink. It looks like in order to "relink" the forms, they need to show up in a list first (and from the list you select which ones you want to relink).

Hi Qazi, I tried what you suggested with a couple of forms, and it seems to work. However, both the modified date and the "modified by" fields get lost. It solves the problem though. Thanks!

it is supposed to change value in those columns.

 

I know. However, It would be better if Sharepoint could provide a way to do it without losing that information either. Thanks again!
