    multi-column list box

We have a requirement where a drop-down list box would need 2 columns. (Item / Description) I would need to show both columns/fields because the description helps the user pick the correct item. Only the item would be stored in the field. I could use a secondary data source or store the list directly in the form - How can this be done and what is the best approach to accomplish this?

    Thanks

It is fairly easy to modify the view .xsl file to use the concat() function to show both fields in the drop-down list.

    i.e. concat(my:item, ": ", my:description)

The concat is just be used for the display value. This would not affect the stored value at all.
