 Hi,

I have created a couple of forms and used the method described in this site. I have written a console application which I am copying a sample .xml file and modifying it to create a new form instance and changing the values in that xml document using some of the methods at System.Xml. I am able to create the new form instance and update its value, also I need to allow the user to update the data from the infopath from too, later once the form instance is created.

But I am not able to update any fields when I open the programmatically created instance, except for the richtext which is not updating the newly added text. But when I download and modify (With correct tags <div></div>) the values are getting displayed.

 Also I have taken care of the that "http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" is added to each tags which I am adding programmatically.

I think, The filename when I am copying the sample.xml which is different from the file name I calculate in the data connections file could be the wrong step.

 I'm not really sure what issue you're describing.  At first it sounds like you can't modify any of the fields except the rich text when you open the form, and then it sounds like there's a problem with the rich text field.  Which is it.

Also, could you post an example of one of your programmatically-generated XML files, and the original sample.XML?

I will try to explain the scenario and post the xml code below, We need to create a form in library programmtically, from a webpart page. Only the initial few values will be entered, but the form will be opened later in the browser and update. 

I created some XMLDocument and used to update the newly copied file with the initial values (it is in the Program.txt, this refers the IAPInfoPathNewInstance.cs to update the xml)

 I am able to add the values for the first time, but when the form is opened again the new updates are not reflected. I think some thing is wrong in the Form_Submit code.

Hi, I figured out were was the error, It was in the FormEvents_Submit rather that updating the newly copied file, the sample.xml file was getting updated. Fixed it and now the copied forms updates are working.
