Hi I am new to Infopath.

I need to do an analysis to see if we can introduce Infopath in our medium sized organization.

If someone has any experience or information on what factors need to be considered before thinking about Infopath- I request you to please guide me

Infopath can be used for majority of office work, it depends on how much do you want to automate. Before moving on to infopath, you should first of all decide what all you think will infopath be used in your organisation. What backend do you intend to use to store data.

We basically need to use it for Form filing etc-acess to various systems & things like that

From the data store point of view we use SQL Server.

To host it as a centralized application accessible to any user as a web page what all things do I need to consider-what about licensing etc??

To host it as as a centrailized application accessible to any user as a webpage you will need to have Sharepoint server using infopath form services (MOSS). you will be needing a enterprise licence for that
