    Grouping Data

I'm trying to display data on an Infopath form using grouping. The data is coming from a SQL view. Here's what I'm trying to show:

    A - Attorney

        Joe Smith

    B - Partner

        John Smith

        John Doe

    C - Associate

        Jack Smith

        Jack Doe

So I'm grouping by code, i.e, A-, B-, C-, etc. However, this is what I get:

    A - Attorney

        Joe Smith

    B - Partner

        John Smith

    B - Partner

        John Doe

    C - Associate

        Jack Smith

    C - Associate

        Jack Doe

I tried playing around with conditional formatting and rules but couldn't come up with anything.  If it's possible, how do I remove the extra code that is displaying on the form?

Could you show us a screenshot of your data source as a point of reference?  There should be a way to do this with conditional formatting.

I noticed the entire data source did not show up on my screen capture. But under Spouse is:

    EmpID

    SignsNameAs

Code (which is what I am using to sort)

    FullNameLast

Ok, thanks.  So I'm guessing that Code (Are the letter code and the code description both in this field?) is in an expression box.

Please try placing the following conditional formatting on that expression box:

    (Conditional formatting expression)  @Code = preceding-sibling::d:v_AllEmpsBlueBook/@Code

    (Action)  Hide this control
