Hi,

I wrote a webservice that returned master-child tables from database to some criteria. The goal is now to build an inforpath form that has fields for webservice criteria and repeating structures for master-child tables. User have to once give criteria for webservice then receive master-child tables and work with them.

The webservice dataset is the second source in my infopath form. My problem is that I can't save master-child data in the form. I give the criteria for webservice then execute it then receive master-child tables then modify data then save the form. When I open the form next time it's empty. Why?

InfoPath's save function only saves data in the main data source.  For anything else, you will either need to set up the form to re-query the data when it is opened and get it to the state it had before, or copy the data into your main data source, where it can be saved.

 If you want to try copying data from a secondary data source into your main data source, you may want to try out qRules, which provides a simple way to do this.
