Changing list of values in drop down #2 based on selection in drop down #1

I am curious to know, can you change the values/options available in drop down menu #2 based on what selection you make in drop down menu #1?

I know you can change the value of a field by selecting a certain value in another field, but what I want to do is make it so that:

    1) When I select X value from drop down menu #1

    2) Drop down menu #2 changes its list of values based on the selection I made in drop down menu #1.

Hi -- sure, if you want item 2 to be filtered by the selection in 1. That is, you have a data source with all the possible option for the list for item 2, and then you only disply the options based on the selection from 1. Search for cascading drop down lists to find more information (here's a blog post by Greg Collins to get you started). If you mean, instead, that the drop down for item two will use an entirely different data source, you can use custom code to over write the data source values and display names, or simply use more than one control with conditional formatting to show or hide the one with the data you want to display to the user.
