Hi Everyone!

I have got a Drop Down list in InfoPath form. After submit, it create new blank form. I want to set default value for the drop down list programmatically when open the new blank form on the second time, based on the value selected from drop down list before.

Is it possible and how to do it?

well it is possible to set the value fo a drop down programatically, you will have to create the new form programatically.

when you  submit the form, you will have to create the new form (xml) programatically, set the values and then open it.

you dont have to update XSN, you have to create xml.

Thanks for your help! But, how to get value from last form (xml) to set for new form? Do We need access back to last form? Do you have any sample code to cew the new form programmatically?

you can write code inside the old form, or you can promote the fields whose values you want. tell me which approach you want

Thanks Qazi, I understand your solution. Does it must be using "Create a new form programmatically"? Cannot use "Open a new blank form" existed function in InfoPath?

sorry i dont think that is possible, you cant change the xsn dynamically. Might be somebody knows better,

If you want to push the value from one form into a new form when you open a new form, you'll need to write code for it. IP doesn't handle this scenario out of the box.
