Strange behavior: can't figure it out.

    Hello,

I have a form in IP 03 that was working, but now is acting strangely at one step of the workflow.  The main view has a master/detail setup. A user queries. A result list is displayed in the master. A user finds a record and then clicks a button in the details of that record.  The button has various rules to edit field values, then connect to main DB to update those fields, then the rule to submit it via email (as an attachment) is followed.

Depending on the type of record it is, the attachment is supposed to open up to a certain view with the data associated with the record from the main view.  This second view is where the strange behavior happens.

In this view, I have a repeating section that has a filter of "record ID" = the record ID of the record the user from the main view orginially clicked the button above.  To do this, during the button rules described in my first paragraph, I set a non DB field of my form to the value of the record ID of the detailed record.  This allows the record ID to travel with the form.

So, it works great one hour:  It displays the correct filtered record data in the repeating section.

But, all of a sudden anther record may not work and nothing is shown in the repeating section.  Because the repeating section isn't displayed the view is almost blank, with the exception of a title that isn't in the repeating section in the view.

I don't know what is going on.  I have been figure this out, but I'm stuck at this point. I just need the second view to display the details of a record in a repeating section according to a filter created in the previous view.

Anyone have any ideas what I can check in my form?

    Thanks,

One thing that I would like to add to this. I have also tried to see if I could figure this out by comparing the xml file in textpad for one that works and one that doesn't. They both look fine to me, but I am probably not looking at it correctly. Can the problem be seen in the xml file which flies around with the emails?  If so, what should I look for? Thanks.
