Hi I am very new to Infopath.

I was wondering whether it is possible to have form with fields that has a "submit" option that when selected will merge field data into a standard letter (word document) field areas defined.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Yes it is possible, only that you will have to do some coding for it

I have created a print view that is providing me a this facility.

 ie

I have repeating fields in the print view. I have the form print to adobe pdf to when "print" is selected. This seems to meet my merge requirements.

NEXT QUESTION:

Can you have a button placed on the Form called "Print" that will perform validation then print?

What i really want is the form not to allow printing until validation is parsed.

I have used XDocument.PrintOut()

Is there a way to code so it will bring up the print dialog box rather than just print to the default printer?
