How to display the name of the user who checked out the form when some other user opens the form? We do have a generic message to the user stating that the form is readonly but now user wants more intelligent message which would include the name of the user who locked the form. Please comment on possible approaches.

InfoPath 2007 rich client.

in the document library there is a column named "checked out to". you will need to set a data connection to get the value stored there and display it.
