    Installation Help

I just downloaded and tried to install the AD Web Service.  I installed it on the default SharePoint Site (Port 80).  After the installation wizard completed, it opened a page-- http://sharepoint01/QdabraAD/AdUserInfo.asmx.

This site has the following error on it:

The file you are attempting to save or retrieve has been blocked from this Web site by the server administrators.

I don't know what to do.  I'm new at SharePoint and web services.  How do I get it going so I can use it with InfoPath forms?

    Thanks.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with our product. The URL in question (http://sharepoint01/QdabraAD/AdUserInfo.asmx) points to the server location of the webservice. You say the location does not open: did you get that error when trying to access the URL from your machine or from the server machine where the web service is installed? Try both, and see if the result is any different...

Also, you can try accessing http://sharepoint01/ to make sure you have permissions on the site. If it's not accesible then the web service in the QdabraAD subfolder also won't be.

Thanks for getting back with me, Ernesto.  I just figured it out.  I did an iisrestart and that got it installed.  After the installation, the SP sites didn't want to come up, so I rebooted.  Everything works now, AFAIK.  Thanks.
