    People Picker

Is it possible to create a People Picker in an InfoPath form, for the user to either search or pick from a list of names, similar to how the People Picker does in a standard SharePoint list?  I don't care if it's all SharePoint users or if it can look at a specific SharePoint group.

Welcome to the InfoPath Dev Forums.

You should take a look at the Contact Selector for InfoPath: http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2007/02/28/using-the-contact-selector-control.aspx that should do what you are looking for.

You should also take a look at the Qdabra Active Directory Web service if you need to do user alias validation without code in your form: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/ADWebService.aspx

Thanks.  That control worked.  Additionally, I created a simple workflow to take the AccountID and populate it's value to a standard person or group column, which will allow for the standard SharePoint functions (view user profile, email).

I notice that this works well if I only pick one person.  Is there a way to use the Contact Selector for multiple selections?  The control allows you to select multiple values and merge the data into the SharePoint library.  I changed my Assigned To column to allow for multiple selections, but my workflow errors when I run it.  I'm assuming that the data needs to get parsed before the value can get set to the Assigned To column.  Is this possible?
