    Reusing manifest file

I have 28 forms, all same fields, but different verbiage, reason why i have 28 forms, it is old and they do not want to update, so I know there are better ways to handle this scenario but that is in future projects to consolidate into one form.  But this is what I am hoping to do if possible, since all of the forms have exact same fields and 90% of dataconnections are the same. Since these feilds are real tedious to configure each and every one for rules and so forth, is it possible to copy the manifest file, tweak the name info for that particular form and the dataconnections?

In order to maintain the same fields and manifest, you need more than just the manifest file.  There are also XSD and XML files that need to be maintained in order for the form to work.

Why don't you just use File->Save as... from the InfoPath designer to save your XSN as a new form, and then go on redesigning the layout?  That should work.

You know, i guess I was just really out of it, and been working on this thing for so long I forgot how simple that is.  Thanks for helping the worlds dumbest form developer..just kidding!

These forms will be continuely updated on a new project site that is created which a couple of data connections are going to change as well, I am always getting that form template ID asking to replace a template with this template, will have to make those changes that you mentioned in the manifest, xsd and xml files?  I need to make that prompt to stop, the users can get confused with that.
