    InfoPath Views + EMail

    Hi

I am trying to create an email template in infopath with views.

The data will be from the same infopath document but from different views.

Now I got this working but I would need to view to still be editable, but to do that I would need to put it in a text box but I can bring up a mail with data from other views in to the one text box so I can change stuff where needed?

Does nay one have any idea how I can accomplish this..

It does not have to be a browser only option..

    Thanks

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

I don't quite understand. If you are sending the InfoPath form in Outlook and you have the rich client, you can edit the XML in the Outlook view and use conditional formatting to hide or show the data. You don't need to pull data from a different view. The data can just be in a separate field in your main data source. Use rules and conditional visibility to hide-show.

I hope this helps, but I'm not confident that it will since I don't quite understand what you are trying to do.

     Hi Patrick

Well I have tried to edit the email but it does not allow me to do it..

Can I send you a copy of the form and you can see what I am trying to do? I know I maybe doing this on a long way but this is the best way I could come up with to get this working.. the only problem I got is that I can't edit the text on the email views?

    Please let me know..

    Thanks

    Chris

Attach the XSN.  How is it published, and are you using "submit to email"?  Are you viewing it in Outlook 2007?
