I have a dropdown list in an infopath form which is filled using a dataconnection from an external source. What i need is to limit the user chose from the filled values in the DDL without being able to edit the value by himself in the ddl
can anyone give me a hint on what to do?

well the behavior in my case is that the user is always able to edit the textvalue of the Ddl and he ia able to insert anything he wants in the ddl.
What i want to to restrict him to the values filled in the DDL same as we are woorking in a web environment!
Are you sure that you are using a Drop-Down List Box, and not a Combo Box? Drop-Down List Boxes to not allow users to enter their own values.
You are right , the wierd thing is that i was adding to my form a DropDownlist and then it was chaging for no reason to become a ComboBox.
In all cases now i replaced all Combos with DDL and it worked.
