    Infopath and reporting

I know Infopath is not very sophisticated in its reporting abilities, but I am trying to do something straightforward

It is a database application, one table only.

I can create a report based on the date some thing was entered into the database - I have a start date and endate date fields to use as parameters for a query.

I would like also to be able to filter on the office name. I can add another filter to the data to use the selected item in a list of offices.

However is it possible to have it that it ignores the office filter if it is blank an only uses the date criteria, and ignores the date criteria if it is blank and just uses the office?

    Hi -

How are you currently doing this to get dates with in a range? Are you using code? If so, could you post your code sample?

No there is no code. I added a couple of extra fields, called start date and end date and added them as date pickers to the form, then added a filter onto the repeating table

Ah, I see. Well, it may be kind of clunky... but you could have more than one filtered repeating table on your form and conditionally show / hide them based on the fields that are populated by the user.... So the table filtered by 'office' only shows if start and end date are blank, but office is filled in....

Ah yes, I see where you are going with this one, that would work
