copying over text fields from repeating section to a new view

    Guys,

I have a simple logging tool that has another view titled Print View. Now when people are logging fields I want these to filter over to the Print view automatically. Now this is easy enough but I am having issues with the fields being part of a Repeating section.

The repeating section is currently set up as master and detail if that helps.

    Hi:

I'm a little confused as to your end goal. You have a repeating group in your form with some fields in it. When the user fills out the form, you want to have the fields with their values in the print view. Am I on track so far? Do you want to filter the repeating section that shows in the print view? That is, if I fill out your form and add 5 rows to the master table and fill out all the details for each row -- should only certain rows print? Should all rows print?

    Thanks for the quick reply!

That is exactly what I am looking to do. I would like to filter just one row on the detail repeating table to the print view. And when the user selects another row from the master table it then filters based on that data.

I've attached a very simple demo form to this post. Right click the link in the post header, select save as and save locally. Open in design mode and preview. You can add several rows to the repeating section and then select one from the master table -- select File > Print Preview to see the print view.

Basically, I copied the master / detail section from the view into a print view, then hid the master table with conditional formatting....

    Thanks for your help!

I see what you've done and it's much simpler and easier way.
