Hi

I want to promote a value into an existing Person or Group field in SharePoint(Moss), so that I can set up a view in Sharepoint using the [Me] feature.  This would allow Users to only see forms which have their name in a column.

At the moment I keep getting an error that the field I am trying to promote is not the correct type for the Sharepoint column. 

Is it possible to promote into a people or group field ?

If it is  - what is the field type I should use; and the format of the field value ?

If it is not - what other ideas do people have ?

Yeah, the data types don't match when you do that.  I have a workaround on my blog that was actually written by someone else before I got around to making my blog:

InfoPath – Using [ME] to Filter Form Library Views Based on Form Metadata

Basically, you have to promote your InfoPath field with the user info and then use an SPD workflow to pass it to an existing Person/Group column already built in SharePoint and added to your form library.  It's not direct, but there doesn't seem to be a direct way due to the data type inconsistency.

I used this in 2007 with great success.  However I now need to use it on a 2010 reusable workflow.  How do I achieve this?
